Artificial intelligence has reached an inflection point. Demand for AI computing is growing exponentially as models become larger and more capable, pushing global data center infrastructure to its limits. At the same time, robotics is transitioning from research labs into real-world deployment across logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and defense. These systems require far more compute and energy than today’s infrastructure was designed to deliver. Meanwhile, a new generation of semiconductor architectures—such as RISC-V, modular chiplets, and heterogeneous computing—are opening the door for fundamentally new processor designs. Together, these forces are converging to create a rare technological moment: the next generation of artificial intelligence will require a new infrastructure stack integrating energy, compute, and embodied intelligence.
